Hello members -
This is just a friendly reminder about advertising and selling of merchandise on the site.
ANY post containing advertising for an event (without a paid advertisement banner) or any post advertising the sales of DVDs or other pageant assets (without a paid advertisement banner) will be removed by the staff. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
Please remove any content from your footer that may be perceived as an advertisement as soon as possible. Any footer after 3/15/07 that has a violation will be removed and the account may be placed on probation for the violation.
If you wish to purchase an ad - please visit www.carriefairfield.com/ads or email us at sales@carriefairfield.com if you have any questions.
Thank you for your understanding and your continued support.

For clarity ..........
Advertisement for contest, pageants, fashion shows, video tapes, DVD's etc. "must" purchase a banner to "announce" the event ?

Announcements regarding events are to be added to the calendar area. These posts are to announce the date and the event only - not the price of admission or URLs to take members to more information. This includes posts in the gallery of fliers to any event. Additionally these kinds of posts should not be added to the signature or footer of individual posts. Any post that can be considered an ad (i.e. any post regarding things for sale, goods, or services where the end user makes money, with a URL, or contact information) will be removed.
This site is a business. One of our primary revenue streams comes in the form of paid advertising. In order to continue to provide a quality product - we must insure our monetary future by charging for ads and services. We appreciate our current advertisers and want to make sure their investment is worth every bit that they put into it. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

If this is the course you wish to take your website I fully support it as long as it is equally enforced.
I have never seen an advertisement for Miss USofA, Miss Continental, or Miss EOY so therefore I would assume that conversation regarding the date and time of these events, schedule and the event in general is strictly prohibited and moderators will fully enforce this rule and remove all posts that violate these new rules and not just some.

Andy -
I don't know you but welcome to CarrieFairfield.com. Obviously you've not been around on these boards for as many years as some but I can assure you - all national pageants have equally been represented on this board with paid advertisements as well as in some other partnership-type deals in the past or being made for the future. If you have any questions about specific business practices - or wish to talk to us about some promotions for your own benefit - you can feel free to contact me and Scott directly - sales@carriefairfield.com is the email address - looking forward to hearing from you.
Again to clarify - we are not discouraging the posting of announcements to pageants and other events. These are not to be put into one's signature. Any announcement regarding the sale of items or provides links to outside monetary transactions in any form are forbidden without a prior purchase of a banner ad. Again - questions regarding this matter can be sent directly to us at sales@carriefairfield.com.
Take care!
Thank you for your support!

The big things to remember is that there can be no contact links or links out to other sites or promotion and this information has to be in the event section of the site. Additionally this content cannot be in the signature area of any profile/post.

I've noted the acceptable vs unacceptable posts under announcements. I have a few questions for clarification because my flyers have been removed 3 times because I was not aware of the NEW rules, but in looking through the Announcements, EVERY violation deemed as unacceptable shows up clear as day.
1) Are flyers with ALL info allowed in the Events section?
2) Are flyers allowed in Announcements if they contain ONLY the acceptable info you mentioned?
3) Are we allowed to manually type in all info about pageants under Announcements but just not able to post it in flyer format?
3) If Advertising rights are purchased, can we post a flyer anywhere and is that purchase event specific or will it allow us the ability to post flyers for a certain period of time paid for?
Just trying to figure it all out for myself and others who promote on Carrie so that we stay within the Rules.
Thanks,

BOLDQUOTE (rikkitikkitavi @ June 5, 2007, 01:45 PM)

1) Are flyers with ALL info allowed in the Events section?
Only parties who pay for an ad can post full flyers in the Events section and only in the Events section (this does not apply to any other section including signatures - flyers are never allowed in signatures).
2) Are flyers allowed in Announcements if they contain ONLY the acceptable info you mentioned?
Unless an ad is paid for - no flyers are allowed.
3) Are we allowed to manually type in all info about pageants under Announcements but just not able to post it in flyer format?
Manual entries about pageants and events are allowed in the Announcements/Events area only if they do not have links out to other websites. If an ad has been purchased - links can be added. See the examples in this string for further clarification.
4) If Advertising rights are purchased, can we post a flyer anywhere and is that purchase event specific or will it allow us the ability to post flyers for a certain period of time paid for?
If an ad has been purchased - flyers can be added in the Announcement/Events area only until the event has expired. Meaning - if your event is on June 6th 2007 - the moderators may remove it past that date as the event has expired. Again - only flyers of events that have a coresponding purchased ad are allowed.
