We had over 65 men compete in state and regional preliminaries this year. In our short 3 year history,we are the largest male contest in the country where contestants must enter a state or regional prelim to qualify for the National Contest. We have achieved this 3 years in a row. We will have 26 contestants at Mr Gay USofA this year. That is a 40% incresase over last year. Most of this can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of Simba.
Simba made personal, physical, emotional, and financial sacrifices this year. He did this for the betterment of the contest. I will be forever greatful and thankful for his incredible hard work. Simba will continue to be an influential and essential part of Mr Gay USofA. Most important, I am proud to call Simba ( Le Sean) my FRIEND.
