FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
“Core Changes to the Renaissance Pageantry System”
Atlanta, GA (August 2, 2011) –Renaissance Pageants has reached a milestone in pageantry. After 10 continuous years of pageantry, Renaissance has managed to survive countless challenges and overcome them all successfully. As we move into a new decade of existence, the changes in our system are those that we feel are necessary due to a changing nature of this industry. “Times have changed, the economy has changed, so maybe it's time for drag to change the way we do business. I cannot speak for my other counterparts but I am ok with Change” – Randall Smith, Owner of Renaissance Pageants.
The Renaissance Pageant seeks to be an organized organization that is known on a national level. With a stellar list of former titleholders, most of which who have gone on to represent other national systems after becoming Renaissance, we will embrace a sense of allowance. That allowance will be simple. Renaissance Pageants will continue to support our titleholders on their journey to capture their dream. For some people Renaissance may be the dream, for others it may be a catapult to the dream.
Additional changes to the system include removing an unnecessary category. In past years, contestants have been required to prepare a presentation to present themselves to the audience. This category was not judged and was a choice of RED, BLACK, or WHITE (the system’s colors). Beginning with the 2011 pageant in November, Presentation will be a judged category, but will be evening wear- a category that would also be judged in the pageant from the past. This change will eliminate not only the money the contestants used to prepare a presentation look, but also the time it takes to present the contestants- making it a benefit to the patrons and as well as the contestant. This year Renaissance Patrons can expect a much shorter evening with the same quality entertainment value. Renaissance 2011 Honoring Aurora Sexton and Sebastian Armonte will be held Saturday and Sunday November 26th and 27th at the Holiday Inn Express, located at 450 Capital Ave, Atlanta, GA. Tickets will be on sale in advance.
